FSB Mobile Deposit

Step-by-Step Guide

A feature of the Mobile Banking App for iPhone®, iPad ®, and Android® supported devices. Mobile Deposit allows qualified Farmers State Bank clients to conveniently make secure deposits anytime, using their mobile device and the FSB Mobile Banking app, FSBIOWA.

Getting Started

Requirements to use Mobile Deposit through the FSBIOWA Mobile App:

  • You must be a client of Farmers State Bank and have a checking account in good standing.
  • You must be enrolled in Farmers State Bank Online Banking.
  • Download the app FSBIOWA from Apple, or FarmersStateBankIowa from Google, onto your phone or tablet.  You will then have access to Farmers State Bank’s mobile banking through the app.


Launch FSBIOWA Mobile App on your mobile device and login to your account with your Username and Password.


You will now see your Accounts screen.  On the lower menu bar, select Deposit.


Select Deposit Check

  • The first time you use this service, you will be asked to review and accept the Mobile Deposit Services Agreement before you can continue.


  1. Select the account.
  2. Enter the amount of your check.
  3. Take a photo of the front of the check.
  4. Take a photo of the back of the check.

Front Photo

  • Place the check with the front side facing up on a well-lit surface, free of clutter.
  • Align the check within the frame, making sure the entire check is completely within the frame, and there is nothing else in the image.
  • Take the photo.  Select Use or Retake.

Back Photo

  • Ensure the back of your check is endorsed properly and includes:
    • The payee’s signature
    • The account number
    • For Mobile Deposit at Farmers State Bank
  • Take the photo.  Select Use or Retake.


Select Next after choosing which front & back of the check photos to use.


Select Edit or Confirm Deposit.


Under Accounts, the deposit will be shown as Pending.

  • You will be able to view the previous 99 days of past deposits and transaction history in the Mobile App. 

After Submitting a Deposit

  • Keep your check for 14 days or until you see it posted into your account.
  • Checks deposited on a business day before 3:00 p.m. CDT will be credited on the current business day.
  • Checks deposited on a business day after 3:00 p.m. CDT will be credited the following business day.
  • Every day is a business day, except Saturdays, Sundays and Federal Holidays.
  • Funds Availability Holds may apply.
